Green cities for adaptation and resilience: co-benefits for people, environment and society.
Understanding where vulnerable populations live relative to green spaces enables cities to use NBS to design inclusive, resilient, and sustainable urban areas aligned with the New European Bauhaus (NEB) vision, prioritizing health, environmental protection, and social equity, especially to underserved communities.
The emergence of turnpike roads in the eighteenth century, the railway in the nineteenth century, the extension in the use of the road vehicle in the verge of the twentieth century and jet aircraft after WWII introduced new distinguishable sources of noise which until then did not form part of the acoustic character of England and assisted in shaping its current noise regulatory framework. Here, we review the law of transport noise in this country.
